One of the interesting things that I noted was how someone kicks up the prices on bids. For instance, I have been watching the bidding on one E61 mobile phone, where one user made four bids consecutively in a matter of a few minutes and kicked the bid price from Rs 10,000 to Rs 17,000. It is obvious that the concerned user was allied with the seller and did not want to risk genuine buyers getting a good deal!
Now I want to know if that is a practice condoned by eBay. Even if it is not, how does one go about ensuring that the genuine buyers/ bidders are not shortchanged.
