Customers taken for granted

Customer relations and satisfaction is last thing on ebay's mind. Ordered an playstation from them and I was delivered a refurbished one which was not in a working condition. When I raised a claim they were least bothered and took their own sweet time to get back, so I had to contact the seller directly for a refund who seemed more responsive and cooperative than ebay.
eBay doesn't have product reviews and refunds for most articles because they never check the seller's background and neither trust the quality of product they sell.
please don't buy expensive articles from eBay it's really not worth it.
