what to do when buyer claims the receipt of product as damaged ? we are not powership sellers.

Hi,

 

we are a new seller. one of our buyer left negative feedback about us because he received product in damaged condition.before leaving negative feedback by buyer there was no communication with us from buyer.we came to know when we saw negative feedback of buyer abour seller.

we are not powership enrolled seller.we do all shipping from our end but all our shipping are convered with 100% insurance. we reaaly want to replace the product for buyer becuase it is transit damage and we can claim insurance and recover.

we have asked customer to send back the damaged product to us. how can buyer send back the product to us ? is ebay will arrange for collecting a damaged claim product from buyer ? (please note we are not powership seller) or should buyer send the same to us by courier?

 

as per ebay policy reshipping charges has to be born by seller. cost of product is Rs 349/= (cosmetic products) . how much buyer can claim as reshipping charges if buyer courier the same to us ?

 

we really want to give replacement from our end but dont know what kind of process to follow as per ebay policy ?

 

please guide.
