Why not ebay follow this seller and buyer centric process? Good for both.

If ebay is commited for seller's success, not only the buyer's success, there is a good way to follow. This method will act as a tonic to check the fake buyers.

Once the user registers in ebay, or while bidding for an item, ebay should verify the bank account/credit card details of the buyer as well as seller. Once buyer wants to bid for an item, he should accept to buy this item if he wins the bid and provide the creditcard/online transfer details to paisapay. Then only his bid should be accepted. Once the bid is completed, the money should be automatically transfered to the seller's account. Before the bid ends, if the buyer wants to withdraw the bid, it should be done by the mutual acceptance of both buyer and seller. Note, here buyer is not paying the money in advance. He is only providing the transaction details in advance which will be activated automatically once the bidding is closed. This method is very helpful to check the fake buyers, who can choose whether to buy the item or not even after winning the bid/simply bid for fun.

Ofcourse still there is otherway around like cheques and Drafts. This kind of bidding also should be an option, provided seller can take the risk with fake buyers.

I doubt whether ebay will implement this or not even though it checks this info. Because ebay is always buyer centric website.

Dear krishik_123pm

I agree with your suggestions and would like to add some more points.

Unpaid items for the listings that were promoted or in auction formats, are a great loss to sellers. FVF is reversed but still promotion charges are not reversed. I would like to suggest the following to avoid this.
1. For auction format and promoted items, The bidder/ buyer should first open his/ her account with paisapay and should deposit some money into it. when he/ she wins the item, this amount should be transfered to sellers paisapay account immediately after the seller sends invoice for the item.
2. if the bidder bids for Rs 1000 and he has less then 1000 amount in his paisapay account, he should not be allowed to bid and should be asked to deposit that amount in his own paisapay account to qualify for a bid.
3. For BIN formats that are not promoted or shop listings, the buyer should get clear warning that the item is still available to other buyers untill you pay for this. Such listings should not end untill it is paid by the buyer or reaches its listed time.

There may be some buyers who does not want to go through this process. Such buyers may buy the items those are not promoted or Non auction items.

I hope, if above facts are considered by ebay, there will not be UPI losses to sellers.

Hello

Yes there are lot of things for improvement for Ebay.

But, to be honest. Ebay never take steps to implement safe trading. It is 100% safe and beyond the limit for Buyers. But, for Sellers this is not fair.

Not only bidding, there are other lot and lot of issues selling on Ebay.
