Why item video is not allowed here,When its allowed on other eBay websites?

Dear eBay,
I am surprised to know that it is not allowed to upload video on eBay India.

Uploading product video always helps to convince the potential buyers to go ahead with the purchase.

Just think when a picture speaks a thousand words,how much a nice product video will help to attract more buyers and hence sales.

What is the point of now allowing item/product video?

All other eBay sites like ebay.com,eBay.uk,eBay.au are allowing video.

Please kindly change your policy towards uploading video and let us upload video,this will be a very good step for the betterment of sellers,buyers and eBay.

I request all my eBay member to please provide their valuble input.

I agree with the point above. But I think one of the reasons for not allowing video is that the video may contain links to the product being sold elsewhere and it may not be possible for ebay staff to review each and every video.
As far as video being allowed in other ebay sites, the case may be different in India due to different operating environment. For the same reason may be, sellers cannot leave negative feedback for buyers or refund is given to buyers for loss in transit even for uninsured shipments.
Still it would be good if ebay explains the reason, as it will lead to more transparency between the buyers and the sellers.

All eBay website allow to upload video of the products and items, which helps a lot to convince the buyer to buy the item. Video help them to see the item in dynamics form. Then what is the reason that eBay India is now allowing video?

eBay India already allowed seller to post contact details with PaisaPay safe banner.

Also one can search eBay.in with keyword "see video" and you will find many video uploaded by sellers.Many sellers use video on their listing on eBay.in.


I request eBay to please allow seller to post video of the items.

Many sellers have uploaded videos in their listing but I am told by Trust and Safety that it is not allowed in eBay.in.

Please allow video on eBay.in, it will really help to convice buyers.

I am still waiting for reply from eBay.

I notice that eBay(eBay pink Seema ji) mostly only reply to the post where a buyer is angry for a transaction went wrong with her/him on eBay.

So,are only buyers important for eBay and not the sellers?

I have raised a very important issue and its sad to see that there is absolutely no reply to my post.
