I have observed that eBay shows and gets revenue by displaying Google adsense advertsements on our selling listing page.
My questions are:
1. Why does eBay want to create competition from outside shops with eBay's sellers. Just for earning pennies adsense revenue, its losing its credibility, integrity and distracting and driving eBay customers to outside eBay shops? Interestingly, eBay itself doesnt allow sellers to post outside URLs within the listing. Would eBay management wake up and stop this pratice in the larger interests of everyone in the eBay ecosystem?
2. When a seller is paying monthly charges for renting out an eBay shop plus paying additional1-2 Rs. per listing, is eBay legally allowed to show similar competitive advertisements from Google on the same selling page for ehich the seller has paid the full rental charge?
