PowerShip Changes

Dear Sameer,

Very sad to see that eBay forcing all sellers to use there shipping options. There are so many issues I have noticed in Powership.

1. State forms required to ship Kolkatta, UP and many other places.

2. No surface shipping for above locations.

3. Printers & other such devices will be sent through only Air mode which will increase our shipping cost.

Thanks

PowerShip Changes

Dear mobilestore4u,

Thanks for the question. Please see below the response for your questions.

Point # 1. Forms required for certain location is a State requirement and is not dependent on the Logistics Service Providers or PowerShip. We encourage sellers to comply with the requirements to avoid potential delayed shipments to buyers.

Point # 2 - Surface mode is powered by BlueDart and there might be certain locations not enabled due to PIN serviceability

Point # 3 - If you wish to offer Surface only as a mode of shipping for sellers, you need to modify the Sell Your Item form and enable Surface as the Shipping method. In case this option is not selected, the item will by default be shipped through AIR. If you are unable to select Surface on such items, please send us the Category details and screen shot to inlogistics@ebay.com.

Sameer

PowerShip Changes

Dear Sameer,

Thanks for your prompt response. Currently we have tie up with some couriers who safely deliver to any locations within India without any kind of state forms. If we enable powership then how shall we use our couriers in such cases?

Earlier I had word with someone from Powership

surface mode should be extended on quantity wise.
guys speakout man, we can do well wholesale business in ebay if this is possible. we are paying high money in powership when product cost is low and shipping is heavy..
so surface mode should enable to all wholesale category.

or use brain and do few changes which help people to use surface..

PowerShip Changes

Dear mobilestore4u,

Thank you once again.

We have Surface being enabled for Printers. If you are selling printers are more suitable for Surface, you can certainly select Surface as the Shipping method for such products in your Sell Your Item form.

Delivering products and delivering with shortest transit time makes a lot of difference to buyers. We are already seeing high repeat rate from buyers who transacted with PowerShip enabled sellers.

Do we take that as a "Yes" for PowerShip?

Sameer

Dear princemobilestore,

Thanks for the feedback. We do realize that working with multiple Shipping partners is difficult and it is best to limit it to few.

We are actively looking at the logic to solve for this concerns. Like all other changes we brough into PowerShip, we will certainly get back to you once when we have made some progress for this topic.

Thank you once again.

Dear earnguruearn,

Thanks for the question and the feedback.

Surface as Shipping mode is currently available only for categories that contain items that are more appropriate for Surface transport - Volumetric, Heavy.

We will be reviewing your requirement to see how we can best solve for this.

Sameer
