who pays return shipping cost?

I am from Pune, Maharashtra, India, and the seller is from Guna, Madhya Pradesh, India.

I had ordered shoes from eBay but seller sent the shoes in different color also I didn't like the quality of shoes so I wanted refund.

Contacted the seller who told me to raise a claim on eBay. He agreed for refund but said I'll have to return ship the item back to seller.

He said eBay will reimburse my expense on return shipping. is this true? If yes, what is the procedure to claim reimbursement?

If no, how should I deal with the seller? as I have already shipped the item because he said eBay will reimburse only after I upload copy of the courier receipt.

U should first raise a claim after all investigation if found true ebay will tell u to reship the item back to the seller and shipping cost will be given by ebay as coupon code which u can use it in ur next purchase.
