does anyone knw anything abt indian customs duty

hi guys,

I want to purchase an "used" processor from US/UK through ebay. how much customs duty do i have to pay in india for an old processor??. If u guys know anything, then please tell me fast. I need to bid for that item and time is running out.
( this particular processor is not available in indian ebay or any other indian shopping sites )

Hi,

Sometimes your parcel can go without customs notice.
Even otherwise I think there is no custom duty for processors or a maximum of 7.5%.You can check it in the below site

Please look for Chapter 85.

Hi,

Used electronics, etc. are not allowed to be imported in India.

A new computer processor would fall Chapter 8471 and would only attract SAD. (special additional duty.)
