Discrepancy on what you see and buy

I selected a red color case cover and proceeded with order submit.However, when logged in later to view my order, I was surprised to see that the color being displayed was black

 

I immediately initiated a chat (SR# 1-31458720408) with eBay agent who gave me the cell number of the manufacturer and asked me to reach out to him for change of color. My point is

 

1. Is this my problem to reach out to manufacturer when the mistake was clearly from EBay side

2. Although I have send an sms to the number provided by agent, I have not received any acknowledgement. So if my shipment is still in black color, will eBay hold themself responsible OR do I have to again chase the manufacturer for change??

 

I feel eBay should really work on the customer experience side else it will end up behind other eCom players
