Claim rejected

I paid for the item 221539794657. The paisapay id for the transaction was 37669096758. The seller claims to have dispatched the item and I have received it, but the fact remains that I did not receive the item. I raised a claim on ebay guarantee. The id of th eclaim was 714097. A few days after, I received an email saying that the item was delivered to me. Why would I file a complaint if I have received the item ? I found it very annoying that ebay did not send me any report of the investigation and rejected the claim without any basis. What should I do ?
